Union Kitchen is looking for a skilled bartender to join our team part-time (Tuesday evenings and Friday mornings).The right person is passionate about hospitality and has an extensive knowledge of bar operations. Union Kitchen is a Wine Spectator Award winning restaurant serving New American cuisine. Our mission is to provide a truly unforgettable dining experience through excellent hospitality, delicious food and beverage, and unparalleled professionalism.

Primary duties include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to customers in a timely and professional manner
  • Follow established recipes, guidelines, and presentation standards
  • Interact with customers and provide excellent customer service to build a loyal customer base
  • Maintain knowledge of current drink menus and promotions
  • Operate cash registers and handle money transactions accurately
  • Stock and restock bar supplies as needed
  • Keep the bar area clean, organized and well-stocked
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and liquor regulations
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A team player with a hospitality first mentality and a keen willingness to learn
  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to stand, walk and lift heavy items for extended periods of time
  • Responsible service of alcohol certification (TIPs/ServSafe, etc)
  • Two years experience preferred, but we will train the right restaurant candidate who shows a willingness to learn in a collaborative environment
