QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE UNION HR & PAYROLL MANAGER:

Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in HR and union payroll processing

Strong understanding of collective bargaining agreements and union reporting requirements
*
Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and organizational skills
*
Proficiency in payroll software systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
*
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage confidential information with discretion
*
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end union payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all pay cycles
*
Administer HR processes including employee onboarding, offboarding, and benefits administration
*
Maintain accurate employee records, time tracking, deductions, and union dues in compliance with collective bargaining agreements
*
Serve as the point of contact for payroll discrepancies, benefit issues, and HR policy clarifications
*
Support audit preparation, payroll reporting, and internal reviews in coordination with the Controller
*
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and union regulations
*
Analyze and improve existing payroll and HR procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy
