The Kensington Eye Institute is a state-of-the-art ambulatory eye surgery centre. We make use of the latest in technology to provide world class, individual and timely care to our patients in need of cataract, glaucoma, retina and corneal surgery.
The Kensington Eye Institutes is seeking experienced Part-time Unit Aides to provide diversified support to the organization.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Well-organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Work independently without supervision and exercise initiative.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Ability to Multitask.

REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL DESIGNATION/CERTIFICATE:

  • Minimum Ontario Secondary School Diploma.
    Remuneration: Based on experience + competitive benefit package.
    Location: Downtown Toronto

Responsibilities
  • Preparing Chart.
  • Assist nursing staff with Patient as needed, supervised by Nursing Staff.
  • Clean chairs and place in proper location.
  • Assist nurses with Patient post-op nutritional needs.
  • Able to escort Patient downstairs either via wheelchair or accompany the Patient.
  • Able to order nutritional supplies when needed.
  • Work together with other Unit Aides.
  • Flexible to move around different areas of the Institute when needed.
  • Maintain good human relations with professional and non-professional staff, Patients, families, and volunteers and members of the community.
  • Be responsible for working safely in compliance with work practice and procedure and legislated health and safety standards.
  • Must constantly display best practice up to Standard.
  • Flexible working hours based on Patient needs.
