Details Department: Ortho Pre-Op PACU Schedule: Monday-Friday, 4X9 hours shift, 8.00AM-6:30PM. No weekends, no holidays. Responsibilities Perform administrative and clerical duties in support of an assigned clinical area. Greet patients, visitors, and new admissions. Answer general inquiries and schedules patients for appointments. Answer, screen, and route telephone calls. Perform general clerical duties including filing, email correspondence, and mail distribution. Create various reports and documents as assigned. Help patients/residents with basic technology and social media. Communicate with patients, families, physicians and other healthcare team members about patient care. Perform unit safety checks. Assist with meeting patient needs and escalate as appropriate. May assist with meals, pass and collect trays, pass out activities, and transport patients/residents through facility. May assist with stocking supplies and keeping unit and patient rooms clean and orderly. May maintain staff schedules and timekeeping as assigned. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable. Additional Preferences Prefer Customer Service and Administrative experience in hospital setting. Some computer application work required. Must be able to manage multiple on-line applications at once. Positive and professional interactions with multiple different healthcare disciplines and professional required.
