Job Summary:** As a Unit Builder at Sealy Mattress Manufacturing, you will be responsible for the assembly of mattress spring units and various components, ensuring high-quality construction and adherence to production standards. This role is crucial to the initial stages of mattress creation. Job Responsibilities:** * Assemble mattress spring units accurately and efficiently according to specifications and blueprints. * Operate various machinery and hand tools safely and effectively for assembly tasks. * Perform quality checks on assembled units to identify and rectify any defects or inconsistencies. * Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring all tools and materials are stored appropriately. * Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). * Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production quotas and schedules. * Report any equipment malfunctions or material shortages to the appropriate personnel. * Assist with other production tasks as needed to support overall manufacturing operations. Job Qualifications:** * High school diploma or equivalent. * Prior experience in manufacturing or assembly preferred, particularly with repetitive tasks. * Ability to read and interpret basic assembly instructions and diagrams. * Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment. * Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move materials up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions. * Good communication and teamwork skills. * Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and equipment.
