As the successful candidate for this position, you will cover the Acute Care & SAGE Rehab unit in the Two Hills Health Centre and model Patient and Family Centered Care. Situated 135km east of Edmonton, Two Hills is a rural town serving an agricultural region. The town has a population of 1,379 while the county has approximately 4,500 people. Residents have easy access to the downtown and commercial areas, as well as several parks and playgrounds. The town has a grocery store, several restaurants, gas stations, two banks, various businesses, churches, two schools with Kindergarten to grade 12, Daycare, an arena, curling rink, gym and a golf course. Within a half-hour drive are three beautiful lakes ideal for camping and fishing. As members of the nursing team, Unit Clerks are responsible for the clerical duties and overall coordination of the nursing station.
Description:

As a Unit Clerk, you will be responsible for the efficient flow of communication between health professionals, departments, patients and families while maintaining confidentiality of patient information. You will also be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks which may include reception, greeting and directing visitors, patients and health professionals, maintaining patient records and charts, transcribing and processing physician orders as well as scheduling patient tests and/or treatments. You will also be responsible for performing a range of administrative activities in support of the unit.
