Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Unit Manager to join our team in providing exceptional care within our facility. The successful candidate will be a Registered Nurse with a strong background in managing care teams, ensuring best practices, and meeting regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support care teams, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
  • Ensure that care practices align with statutory requirements and the latest research, regularly reviewing and developing them to maintain best practice.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements (Care Inspectorate for Scottish homes).
  • Implement and uphold a resident-centered approach, actively involving residents in their care planning and review.
  • Oversee the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care through our electronic care plan system.
  • Monitor and manage the medication system using our electronic TMAR, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Provide clinical oversight of the unit, including medication administration, to support high-quality care.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Registered Nurse qualification.
  • Previous experience in managing care teams is essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory standards and legislation in care settings.
