POSITION SUMMARY: The Nurse Manager assumes 24-hour responsibility and accountability for resident care on an assigned unit. This role supervises licensed nurses and direct care staff, ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, and promotes resident-centered care consistent with facility philosophy and standards of nursing practice. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Supervise and evaluate nursing staff performance on assigned unit. * Ensure care plans are implemented and updated based on resident needs. * Monitor documentation for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. * Respond to resident/family concerns and ensure dignity and resident rights are respected. * Support survey readiness and quality assurance activities. * Coordinate interdisciplinary care and participate in care planning meetings. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES * Strong clinical assessment and supervisory skills. * Knowledge of CMS/state regulations and SNF standards. * Effective communication and documentation abilities. * Organizational and time management skills. REQUIRED: * Graduate of accredited nursing program with current RN or LPN license in Michigan. * 2+ years of long-term care or skilled nursing experience. PREFERRED: * Prior leadership experience as Charge Nurse or Supervisor. PHYSICAL & WORK REQUIREMENTS * Ability to lift 80--300 lbs with assistance/equipment. * Frequent standing, walking, and responding to emergencies.
