  Unit Manager SNF $15,000 Sign-On Bonus   “To glorify God by providing a continuum of care and services that demonstrates the love and compassion of Jesus Christ.”                                                                                         Position Summary: Registered Nurse that directs, assigns, monitors, and evaluates nursing staff.   Essential Responsibilities: 1. Initiates the development of policies, procedures, and programs that govern the unit and serviced under the position control. 2. Plan, develop, and implement a budgeted process for staffing and services rendered.  3. Evaluate the quality of efficiency of staffing and services within Resthaven goals. 4. Initiate and implement the resident care plan. Provide treatment, care and rehabilitation services following the individualized resident care plan. 5. Medication administration and pain management: complete medication pass timely, with accurate administration. 6. Implement, evaluate and provide nursing services as directed.  7. Accurately observe, assess and document signs and symptoms, change of condition, behaviors, reactions and findings of residents. 8. Ensure compliance with established infection control procedures and State/Federal regulations. 9. Assign and direct the work activities of assigned clinical staff.  Assist with staff coverage of shift, making assignments appropriate with the skill level of the employees.  Evaluate the performance of staff with recommendations for appropriate retraining, coaching and/or corrective action. 10. Provide acceptable standards of resident care and services based on established resident rights and person-centered care. 11. Maintain a working climate that provides opportunities for growth and job satisfaction of staff. 12. Critically think, be resourceful and remain calm in unique and emergent situations. 13. Maintain professional behavior and appearance with confidentiality. 14. Provide excellent customer service as evidenced by the display of appropriate concern and taking initiative to problem solve in an effort to exceed the resident’s and customer’s expectations. 15. Assumes all other position responsibilities as assigned.   Essential Skills & Experience: 1. An associate’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university. 2. Possession of a current license from the Michigan Board of Nursing to practice as a Registered Nurse. 3. Minimum of two years managerial experience.  4. Through knowledge of nursing principles, methods, and practices.  5. Effective organizational skills; must be attentive to detail. 6. Effective written and verbal communication skills. 7. Knowledge of State and Federal regulations for a licensed nursing facility. 8. Understanding of financial management.  9. Strong interpersonal skills.    Required Licenses, Registration, and/or Certifications: 1. Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan.
