Overview Position Summary In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in planning, organizing, and implementing the activities occurring in the nursing station. The Unit Secretary performs both clerical and receptionist duties and maintains the physical environment of the area and is also responsible for scheduling resident appointments and coordinating all transportation. Essential Functions, Key Duties, & Responsibilities Answer telephones, take messages, and communicate to the appropriate person. Perform clerical duties related to the admission and discharge of residents. Maintain charts and provide proper forms for nursing. Scan and upload documents as needed. Compile new charts and maintain current charts with current forms. Assist residents, their family members, physicians, and visitors as needed. Maintain and follow infection control policies and procedures. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, visitors, and co-workers. Perform other duties as assigned. Comply with all policies and procedures and any updates. Position Requirements Education: High School Diploma/GED Licenses/Certifications: N/A Experience: 1+ years of experience as a Unit Secretary or related administrative experience Skills & Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to answer phone calls in a professional and polite manner Computer literacy Travel: N/A Min USD $19.00/Yr.
