Position Overview: The Unit-Ward Clerk role involves supporting the Director of Nursing and Unit Managers by monitoring the completion of records as well as nursing station organization. * Initiate and coordinate the admission process, including completing the admission checklist and conducting facility tours for prospective residents. * Maintain in-house chart appearance and organization, filing all incoming clinical information daily. * Monitor and ensure timely return of signed telephone orders and documentation from physicians and other professionals. * Prepare and organize paperwork for resident transfers, referrals, and discharges. * Protect the privacy and security of health information by following all confidentiality and release-of-information procedures. * Act as a liaison between the Nursing Department and other departments to support communication and workflow. Qualifications: * High school graduate or equivalent (GED) required. * Active CNA certification required. * Proficiency in PointClickCare (PCC) and general computer systems and Familiarity with order entry processes is a plus. * Previous experience as a Ward Clerk or Unit Clerk in a long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or other healthcare setting. Schedule: * Weekend Position * Schedule: Every Saturday and Sunday * Shift Start Time: 2:00 PM * Consistent weekend availability required.
