Description A Universal Banker is a financial professional responsible for providing comprehensive banking services to Iroquois Federal customers, including assistance with account management, financial transactions, product recommendations, and excellent customer service. The role involves a blend of responsibilities from both traditional teller and personal banker roles, encompassing a wide range of banking activities. Key Responsibilities Greet customers in a friendly, professional manner and build strong relationships by understanding their financial needs and goals Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, information, and assistance Assist customers with opening, closing, and managing accounts (savings, checking, money market, CDs) Educate customers on account features, fees, and benefits Support additional services including debit/ATM cards, check orders, compromised accounts, and savings bonds Perform teller duties as needed, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, cash verification, and receipt issuance Process financial transactions accurately (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, balance inquiries) Identify and recommend appropriate banking products and services based on customer needs Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and performance goals Ensure compliance with all banking regulations and internal policies, including BSA, AML, and OFAC requirements Maintain cash accuracy, balance teller drawer, review endorsements, and process mail, night depository, and ATM deposits Address and resolve customer concerns and complaints promptly and professionally Maintain accurate customer records, transaction logs, and documentation Perform other duties as assigned Requirements 1 year of Account Services, Universal Banker and Cash handling experience (preferred). Previous experience in banking, retail banking, or customer service. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of banking products, services, and procedures. Sales and customer service experience. Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
