POSITION SUMMARY: This non-emempt hourly position reports to the Assistant Branch Manager or to the Branch Operations Manager and is an in office position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary role is to open new accounts; personal, business, & certificate of deposits, perform routine teller transactions in a cash intensive environment and provide basic customer service such as address changes, stop payments and other requests. Provide account opening information and ensure proper documentation is completed, scanned and entered on the computer system. Maintain a well-developed working knowledge of the complete line of bank products and services offered. Respond to all customer inquiries and service requests, providing prompt and accurate resolution of issues in a timely manner. Adhere to policies, procedures, regulatory banking requirements, and state and federal laws. This position also requires helping with teller duties including but not limited to acting as backup teller and scanning branch capture work as needed. JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must be able to work at least 40 hours per week including rotating Saturdays from 9:00 to noon. Must have at least two years' experience in opening new accounts in a banking environment. Must have prior teller experience. Ability to learn products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately. Excellent communication skills - in person and over the phone. Ability to understand and follow policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Ability to use time and resources efficiently in order to accomplish tasks. Experience in efficient personal organization and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Thoroughness and meticulous attention to detail while seeking to identify and correct banking errors. Ability to express written concepts clearly and concisely using correct banking forms and paperwork when required. Experience seeking to improve and develop new process and ideas related to daily banking tasks. Preferred Skills; Certifications; Education: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
