POSITION SUMMARY

Temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant position available in Development.

QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel, and other computer programs.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Dependable and able to follow through on assignments.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks with appropriate follow through.
  • Experience fundraising for a club or an organization.
  • Ability to follow directions and work in an atmosphere with distractions and interruptions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
  • Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
  • Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.
Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Greet visitors to the University Advancement suite and answer incoming phone calls when needed.
  • Update and prepare word documents, Excel spreadsheets and presentation and proposal documents (Microsoft 365 suite)
  • Assist with setting meetings and special events, including on-site assistance at selected events as necessary. This includes greeting, recording RSVP’s, event set up, etc.
  • Maintain professional correspondence with university constituents.
  • Conduct basic clerical duties, including data entry in the donor database, sorting and filing, scanning of documents, and emailing correspondence.
  • Conduct special research projects.
  • Applicant is expected to maintain confidentiality, promptness, attendance, and office etiquette.
  • Assist staff with various projects including news clips, basic relationship building, file maintenance, photo cataloguing, document preparation and scheduling.
  • Other duties as assigned.
