KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITY:
- Strong project management skills with experience leading complex software development projects.
- Knowledge of whole-cell modeling, systems biology, or computational biology.
- Familiarity with multiscale simulation frameworks, including approaches integrating mechanistic models, AI/ML methods, and probabilistic simulations.
- Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) and cloud-based software deployment.
- Expertise in API development and integration of custom user interfaces for scientific computing.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Knowledge of data integration, version control, and FAIR data management.
- Familiarity with Docker, containerization technologies, and scalable computing environments.
- Experience with collaborative software development, open-source tools, and community-driven platforms.
- Strong ability to analyze technical requirements and align them with research and engineering goals.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
- Five (5) years of experience in IT project management, software engineering, or systems integration, with a focus on scientific or research-based computing.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in whole-cell modeling, systems biology, or computational biophysics.
- Knowledge of high-throughput biological data analysis and integration.
- Familiarity with experimental data repositories (EDD, EcoCyc) and interoperability standards.
- Proficiency in developing interactive visualization tools for biological modeling.
- Experience working on government-funded research projects (e.g., DARPA, NIH, NSF-funded initiatives).
- Project Management Professional certification, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or experience in agile software development is preferred.
Full-Time Equivalent Minimum Salary: $150,000
