About the role Occibo(occibo [.] com) is building an AI platform that helps creators turn a manuscript into a fully illustrated children’s book. You will research and document how books move from manuscript to publishing and help translate that into product features. Tasks • Research the children’s book creation process from manuscript to publication • Study editing, illustration, layout, and publishing workflows • Analyze platforms such as Amazon KDP, Lulu and IngramSpark • Document publishing steps, best practices, and industry requirements • Support product and design teams with publishing insights • Help review manuscripts, illustrations, and formatting examples Publishing interns often assist with editorial tasks such as reviewing manuscripts, researching titles, and supporting production workflows while learning how the publishing process works from submission to print. Requirements • BA/MA student in Publishing, Literature, or related field • Strong interest in children’s books and publishing • Good research, writing, and documentation skills • Interest in digital publishing and creative tools including AI Benefits • Real experience in children’s publishing workflows • Exposure to AI-assisted book creation tools • Work directly with founders building a publishing platform • Opportunity to contribute to a global creator product. • Full-time or part-time internship, remote or Berlin based (hybrid possible). • Unpaid internship, designed for students pursuing BA or MA in Publishing, Literature, or related fields. • Preference for candidates with real book production experience such as self-publishing, editing, illustration coordination, or formatting projects. • Start ASAP, ideally within 3-4 weeks, working directly with the founding team on real children’s book workflows.
