BEHAVIOUR MENTOR – PRIMARY SCHOOL

Salary: £90–£100 per day (Paid via PAYE – No umbrella company)
Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 3:30pm | Term-Time Only
Job Type: Full-Time, Long-Term with potential for permanent placement

ABOUT THE ROLE

A supportive and inclusive mainstream primary school in Bush Hill, Enfield is seeking a confident and proactive Behaviour Mentor to support pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
You’ll be working with children who display behavioural and emotional needs, helping them to stay engaged in learning, manage challenges, and build positive relationships. The school is particularly interested in applicants with strong presence and role modelling skills. Male applicants are encouraged to apply.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with behavioural or emotional challenges
• Use strategies to de-escalate difficult behaviour and build trust with pupils
• Support pupils during lessons, transitions, breaktimes, and other key parts of the school day
• Work alongside teachers, the SENCO, and pastoral staff to implement behaviour support plans
• Use positive reinforcement, structure, and consistency to promote self-regulation
• Record behavioural observations and contribute to pupil progress plans
