Location: Southwark & Surrounding South East London

Pay: £14-£15 per hour

The Role

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will support children aged 0-5 years, helping to provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, develop and thrive in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting children's learning and development through engaging, play-based activities
  • Assisting with daily nursery routines, including mealtimes, personal care and outdoor play
  • Encouraging children's social, emotional, physical and communication development
  • Helping to create and maintain a safe, clean and stimulating environment
  • Supporting individual children's needs and development
  • Working closely with nursery staff and other practitioners as part of a team

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Previous experience working with children in a nursery, school, childcare or similar setting is desirable but not essential
  • A genuine passion for working with young children
  • A caring, patient and positive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A flexible and reliable attitude
  • A willingness to learn and develop within the Early Years sector
