Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Classroom Recruiters, representing children’s homes across the Burton area, are seeking passionate and dedicated Unqualified SEN Child Care Workers to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential care and support to children with special educational needs (SEN) in residential settings. No formal qualifications are required for this position, but a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable children is essential. Full training will be provided, and you’ll have the opportunity to gain additional qualifications free of charge.
Type of experience needed: You do not need formal qualifications for this role, but you do need to have a proven track record working in a similar or relatable field. Such as a nurse, care worker, elderly support, community carer, ambulance nurse, sports coach, teaching assistant, youth worker, mental health support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Providing day-to-day care and support to children with SEN in a residential setting.
  • Assisting with personal care, meals, and daily activities.
  • Engaging children in recreational and educational activities tailored to their individual needs.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and external professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for the children in your care.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation as required by the home’s policies and procedures.
