POSITION OVERVIEW

We are on the lookout for enthusiastic Unqualified Teachers and Cover Supervisors to join our dedicated educational team. The ideal candidates will be passionate about creating a positive learning environment and supporting students with diverse needs, including those with disabilities and autism. This role calls for creativity, patience, and strong communication skills to effectively engage with both students and their families.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

We seek candidates who have:

  • Experience working with children in educational settings.
  • A background in special education or experience supporting individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of teaching strategies for students on the autism spectrum is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective engagement with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Experience in mentoring or tutoring roles will be beneficial.

Responsibilities

In your role as a Cover Supervisor with Standby Education, you will:

  • Assist in delivering lesson plans tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Supervise classrooms, ensuring that all students are able to engage with the curriculum.
  • Foster a supportive and collaborative classroom environment that encourages student participation.
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to teaching staff.
  • Work alongside special education professionals to support students with disabilities.
  • Provide mentoring and tutoring to students, offering additional assistance outside regular class hours.
  • Build and maintain relationships with parents and guardians to support student achievement.
  • Involve students in creative activities that enhance their overall learning experience.
  • Take part in professional development opportunities to keep abreast of educational best practices.
