Description
NZ Unregistered Teacher Are you someone who brings warmth, steadiness and genuine care into every moment with tamariki? We are looking for an unregistered kaiako to join Busy Bees Douglas Street and support rich, meaningful learning across our classrooms and Montessori inspired spaces. About us Busy Bees Douglas Street is well established in the Whakatāne community, with strong relationships with families and local support services so we can wrap care around our whānau when needed. Our centre has six classrooms for tamariki aged 0 to 6, each with its own character and rhythm. Two Montessori inspired classrooms offer both structure and freedom, supporting children to explore their interests at their own pace. As part of the Busy Bees Aotearoa whānau, and working closely with our sister centre at McGarvey Road, our mahi is guided by our core values of Whānau, Respect, Adventure and Passion. About you: You may be early in your ECE journey or bringing experience from other roles with children, but what really stands out is your calm presence and genuine love for tamariki. Clear communication, a caring nature and the ability to follow routines with confidence help you contribute strongly to the team. Building warm, trusting relationships with children, colleagues and whānau comes naturally to you, and you enjoy working alongside kaiako to create safe, engaging environments. Enthusiasm, reliability and a willingness to learn will help you thrive in our busy, community focused centre. Why you’ll love it here: Supportive and friendly team culture Discounted childcare Annual flu vaccines and staff uniforms Opportunities to learn and grow your skills in ECE Comprehensive induction, mentoring and coaching If this sounds like the next step in your ECE journey, we would love to hear from you. Please apply now with your CV and cover letter. Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa. We are an Accredited Employer. Why Work for Busy Bees? If you’re passionate about early learning, Busy Bees is the place to be. Although we are part of a global organisation, our company was founded by three families looking for better, more enriching childcare. Three decades later, we still keep the same values at heart. We know that we couldn’t do what we do without the important people in our teams. We invest in our people and work with them to build career pathways that inspire. Join our whānau If you’re looking for a new centre to call home, Busy Bees Aotearoa may be the perfect fit for you! Early Childhood Education attracts a special type of person. You might be known for being creative, nurturing or task focused… but ultimately, you were attracted to Early Childhood Education because you care deeply for the education of the littlest members of our communities. We understand this because this is what attracted us too. We want to gather people who care deeply about quality and empower people to bring their unique gifts and talents together for the benefit of our tamariki. We value each member of our team, and know that by supporting you in your journey, you’ll be the positive and supportive influence in theirs. Across the variety of our centres and Support Office we’re looking for passionate, dedicated, and committed people who love what they do.
