Description
At Busy Bees Ōtāhuhu, we see every child as a unique and special taonga. Located in the heart of our community, our centre is a vibrant, multi-cultural hub where tamariki are empowered to become active, confident learners. We are currently looking for a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our whānau on a fixed-term basis until June 2026. About us: Life at Ōtāhuhu is a beautiful blend of cozy indoor discovery and big outdoor adventures. Our centre is designed with three distinct spaces that honor every developmental milestone, from the trust-led bonds of our Nursery to the independence-seeking world of our Preschoolers. We are proud holders of the Healthy Heart Award, meaning the inviting smell of home-cooked "Nourish" meals is a constant in our hallway. Whether we are exploring Papatūānuku in our shared garden or heading out on a local excursion to the library, we are deeply committed to our community and the diverse cultures that make our whānau so special. As part of the Busy Bees Aotearoa whānau, we are backed by a national network that brings global expertise, extensive professional development, and a deep commitment to high-quality education. About you: You bring a warm, approachable energy and a genuine passion for the early years, whether you are beginning your ECE studies or bringing valuable life experience to our team. We are looking for a kaiako who demonstrates initiative and a proactive "can-do" spirit, someone who is excited to engage in open-ended play and critical thinking alongside our tamariki. You communicate with clarity and heart, building trusting relationships with whānau and colleagues alike. Most importantly, you act with integrity and are eager to grow your practice within a supportive, collaborative environment. Why you’ll love it here: • Community Connection: Join us on regular adventures to local parks and libraries to connect with the wider world. • Discounted childcare • Annual flu vaccine and staff uniform • Wellbeing & Support: You will have access to a monthly staff wellbeing budget and EAP. • Opportunities to grow your skills and experience in ECE • Comprehensive induction, mentoring and ongoing development • Cultural Wealth: Work in a vibrant environment that celebrates diversity and creates an equitable space for all. Apply now with your CV and Cover letter and join the whanau who know how to support great people! Please note: Applicants should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa. Why Work for Busy Bees? If you’re passionate about early learning, Busy Bees is the place to be. We know that we couldn’t do what we do without the important people in our teams. We invest in our people and work with them to build career pathways that inspire. Join our whānau If you’re looking for a new centre to call home, Busy Bees Aotearoa may be the perfect fit for you! Early Childhood Education attracts a special type of person. We understand this because this is what attracted us too. We want to gather people who care deeply about quality and empower people to bring their unique gifts and talents together for the benefit of our tamariki. We value each member of our team, and know that by supporting you in your journey, you’ll be the positive and supportive influence in theirs.
