Upholster – Assembler   The Company Bradington-Young is a division of Hooker Furnishings Corporation. Hooker Furnishings, in its 101st year of business, is a designer, marketer and importer of case goods (wooden and metal furniture), leather furniture and fabric-upholstered furniture for the residential, hospitality and contract markets.  Bradington-Young has been crafting high quality leather seating for over 30 years. * We have a family-focused culture. * We are committed to giving back to our community. * We believe in our product and craft each piece of furniture with pride and care POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking a dependable candidate who is a team player to join our team as an Upholster Assembler.  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Use hand tools to install swivel mechanisms, ban feet, bases, sectional hardware, etc.   * Inspect work for quality and consistency in accordance with company standards. * Assist in other areas of the upholstery department as needed. * Maintain a clean and organized work area. QUALIFICATIONS * Be able to turn and move furniture * Ability to lift furniture pieces on and off a platform and on and off work carts. * Be able to work in a fast-paced production area to meet the daily goals for the department  * Ability to read production tickets and follow instructions printed on tickets. * Ability to match corresponding feet/bases to frames   Shift: Monday to Thursday 7am – 4:30pm & Friday 7a-11a Pay: Depends on experience
Responsibilities
The upholsterer-assembler will use hand tools to install furniture components such as swivel mechanisms and bases. They are also responsible for inspecting work for quality and maintaining an organized production area.
