The Role We are seeking a versatile, dynamic, and forward-thinking coordinator to serve as an Upper School Attendance Coordinator. This person will support all stakeholders by partnering with the Upper School Leadership team to ensure accurate attendance, and records. Versatility and openness to innovative instructional practices are essential. This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt role. Additional opportunities to substitute teach, coach athletic teams, and direct arts productions are available for additional compensation. Responsibilities Daily Records Management: Collects, enters, and verifies daily attendance data in student information systems (Veracross) Compliance and Reporting: Ensures records meet state compliance, attendance policies, and audit requirements. Prepares regular reports on attendance trends, truancy, and absences Communication & Follow-up: Reaches out to parents, students, and faculty regarding excessive absences or imperfect attendance (*connection to Collaborative Care Team and Dean of Students and EDSGS) Documentation Management: Collects and documents excuse notes, doctor’s notes, and documentation for attendance changes Produce accurate attendance reports as requested by US Leadership Reviews, organizes, and ensures early dismissals for school events are accurate and timely Core Competencies Continually uses & develops role/department-specific skills & tools Demonstrates quality, accuracy, and professionalism Understands & contributes to School culture, mission/purpose Builds relationships & culture through effective communication Culturally proficient & equity literate Proficiency in building queries, data entry, Google Suite & Mac/Apple OS Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in data entry, customer service, student services, or project management Organized & detail oriented Passionate about working in a school environment Start Date | July 2026 This job description is intended to describe the basic elements of the job and should not be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, efforts or working conditions associated with the job.
