Job Details Job Location: Villa Duchesne - St Louis, MO 63131 Villa Duchesne is seeking a full-time English Teacher for our Upper School, grades 6-12. The Villa Duchesne English Department curriculum cultivates a myriad of skills including composition (argument and creative writing, personal narrative, literary and rhetorical analysis), critical thinking, and close reading of texts through rhetorical and literary analysis lenses. Teachers at all levels engage in one-on-one extended writing conferences with each of their students at least three times per semester. Candidates with a master’s degree, AP experience, and at least five years of teaching experience are preferred. The ideal candidate will also: possess a commitment to using a variety of pedagogical approaches and differentiation strategies in the classroom; be able to use technology to build understanding; be a relational educator who contributes to the life of the school community as an advisor, club moderator, and proctor; be organized and responsive to lesson planning, grading, and communication; and be dedicated to the success of each student.
