Description Indian Rocks Christian School (IRCS) is seeking a dedicated and passionate Christian educator to teach Social Studies at the middle and high school levels. The ideal candidate will have a heart for Christ-centered education and a commitment to teaching from a biblical worldview while inspiring students academically and spiritually. Key Responsibilities: Teach Social Studies courses for middle and high school students, including history, geography, government, and related disciplines, fostering critical thinking and a biblical understanding of historical and societal concepts. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the school’s curriculum, academic standards, and a biblical worldview. Integrate biblical principles into classroom instruction, discussions, and activities to encourage spiritual growth and character development. Collaborate with colleagues and administration to support student growth, academic achievement, and spiritual formation. Actively participate in school events, professional development, and community activities as part of the IRCS team. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies Education, History or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). Teaching certification from ACSI or the ability to obtain one Experience teaching Social Studies courses to high school students in a classroom setting. Strong commitment to Christian values, spiritual discipleship, and the mission of Indian Rocks Christian School. Demonstrate a consistent Christian lifestyle as referenced by the Mission, Statement of Faith, and Leadership Guidelines of Indian Rocks. Must be willing to become an active member of Indian Rocks Church as defined by regular attendance in worship services, regular attendance/involvement in an Indian Rocks Connection Group or Small Group, and commitment to systematic stewardship and faithful in tithing.

Responsibilities

The teacher will instruct middle and high school students in Social Studies, covering subjects such as history, geography, and government. They will develop engaging lesson plans that integrate biblical principles and foster critical thinking.
