Overview The UPS – National Urban League Business Executive Exchange Program (BEEP) Summer Internship is a 10-week immersive experience designed to expose an undergraduate student at Clark Atlanta University to the intersection of business and social impact. The selected intern will provide support across The UPS Foundation’s four focus areas, support national conferences, activations, storytelling projects, and event coordination. The intern will work on high-visibility initiatives tied to partnerships with key national partners. This role also includes support for BEEP-related activities and events during the NUL Conference. Throughout the internship, the student will gain exposure to project management, business storytelling, professional communications, and skills-based community engagement within a Fortune 50 corporate setting. Participation Includes Big Brothers Big Sisters of America’s National Summit in Atlanta from June 15-18, 2026 National Urban League Conference in Nashville from July 29-August 1, 2026 Program Dates June 1st, 2026 - August 7th, 2026 Responsibilities What We Want the Student to Gain The internship is designed to help students: Experience how major corporations support small businesses and underserved communities. Understand the structure and purpose of social impact and economic empowerment initiatives. Build networking skills and connect with industry leaders and executives Develop skills-based volunteering and thought leadership experience. Walk away with tangible professional assets—such as a strong resume entry, portfolio samples, and mentorship. Clarity on potential career pathways in business (logistics and transportation), social impact, or community development. Qualifications Strong critical thinking, organization, and communication skills Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with a wide range of applicants, grantees, outside advisors, and other experts. Strong attention to detail, ensuring that communications and deliverables are accurate, professional, and appropriate audience. A self-starter and quick learner who is highly motivated and outcome-oriented, always seeking innovative approaches to project execution. Digitally fluent Current Student at Clark Atlanta University, current undergraduate junior with an expected graduation date in May 2027 or sooner.
