Key Accountabilities Support the department in managing and developing SDC master planning activities. Support the production of SDC Design Guidelines. Support the preparation of development briefs, including an overview of project concepts, segment and asset mixes, and value propositions. Support the development of downtown master plans in close coordination with external service providers. Support the review and analysis of land use mixes and the integration of segments such as residential, commercial, and community uses, and recommend changes as needed. Support the department in ensuring that plans and policies affecting land use, zoning, and public infrastructure comply with all government and regulatory requirements. Support the department in coordinating with relevant departments during the project development phase on the following master planning activities: Ensure that developments adhere to agreed development briefs and timelines. Ensure that project development aligns with the approved project vision, and make the necessary recommendations for variations if the development deviates from the initial vision. Review and assess requests to modify master plan designs, and formulate recommendations. Support the department in acting as a Center of Excellence to optimize the master development process and the management of master planners by carrying lessons learned from one downtown to another. Support the department in the following: Recommending corrective measures for master plan design management activities. Ensuring that the principles of design excellence, sustainability, and commercial viability are equally represented in all deliverables. Incorporating master plan design inputs from stakeholders into a consolidated report. Supporting the preparation of presentations for executive management as part of the review and approval cycle. Monitoring the progress and completion of master plan designs throughout the development lifecycle to ensure design integrity is maintained. Support the department in coordinating with Procurement during the master planning procurement process and providing key inputs as necessary. Manage third parties and supervise the analysis of land use for each project to ensure adherence to SDC’s specifications. Provide detailed feedback to consultants and service providers. Hold briefing sessions to communicate updated guidelines and regulations to consultants and contractors, including design reviews and gateway presentations to stakeholders. Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or a related field. A Master’s degree is desirable. Experience: 8–12 years of relevant experience in Urban Design, Master Planning, or a related field. A minimum of 2 years of Middle East experience is preferred
