QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-10 years of experience in planning, urban design, or applied professions
  • Eligible for Registered Professional Planner (RPP) designation
  • An accredited degree in Urban Planning; a master’s degree is an asset
  • IAP2 certification is an asset
  • Familiarity with provincial planning legislation and the development approval process
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    The salary range for this position is $80,000-$100,000. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role

Responsibilities:

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

Join our dynamic placemaking team based in Vancouver and help “design the cities of tomorrow” with projects throughout the lower mainland and BC! With an urban planning and engagement focus, you will join a tight-knit group of passionate planners, urban designers and landscape architects to lead and support projects for public and private-sector clients. Our studio culture ensures you have a home base within the larger organization which offers opportunities for professional growth and collaboration with colleagues all over the globe.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Participate in a broad range of projects: from site specific feasibility studies to community policy initiatives, TOD projects, master plans, and development approvals
  • Lead and support stakeholder engagement for a wide variety of placemaking projects
  • Define outreach strategies and draft engagement / communication plans
  • Plan, manage, and facilitate physical and online engagement processes
  • Contribute to the growth and development of our Indigenous Engagement practice
  • Network and build relationships with current and prospective clients and other strategic contacts
  • Represent our practice/projects at conferences or other events
