Reporting to the Superintendent, the URD Foreman oversees the installation and maintenance of shallow underground utilities (electrical, gas, telecommunication, street lighting) for Fortis and ENMAX projects. This is a 4-party URD role supporting residential, commercial, and multifamily developments, where the Foreman is accountable for ensuring all onsite tasks are carried out safely, efficiently, and in alignment with utility and project requirements. How You’ll Add Value * Actively contribute to the safety culture, promoting a safe and productive work environment * Execute 4-party URD work in accordance with Fortis and ENMAX standards * Conduct daily safety and environmental inspections, enforce OH&S regulations, and respond to emergencies to ensure a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment * Lead, mentor, and hold the team accountable, fostering a positive work environment, promoting collaboration, and driving high performance * Manage and coordinate crew members, subcontractors, and equipment to optimize workflow, prevent disruptions, and ensure project efficiency * Plan, schedule, and communicate work tasks effectively to maximize productivity and ensure quality standards (QA/QC) are met * Provide recognition, feedback, and development opportunities to enhance employee engagement and growth * Oversee PPE usage, training, and equipment operation to minimize safety risks and maintain operational standards * Ensure timely material delivery, verify inventory, and prevent shortages to maintain continuous project progress * Ensure compliance with contract specifications, labor laws, and company policies while reviewing and completing required documentation * Perform in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt What You Bring * 5+ years of experience in 4-party Underground Residential Development, with 2+ years of experience in a Foreman position * Proven experience working on Fortis and/or ENMAX projects, with a strong understanding of their standards, procedures, and safety requirements * Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a Driver’s Abstract showing no more than 6 demerits and no major infractions * Willing to travel and work out of town for short, fixed-term periods, as needed Note: Pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Testing will be required.
