Description Urgent Care RN – Per Diem Day Shift | Team-Based Care | Community Impact Redwood Coast Medical Services is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) to support our Urgent Care team. This role is ideal for an RN who enjoys working in a collaborative outpatient setting and providing compassionate care to patients of all ages. Our urgent care team ensures community members receive timely treatment for acute illnesses and minor injuries in a welcoming, patient-centered environment. What You’ll Do Perform patient triage, including vital signs and clinical assessments Assist providers with evaluation and treatment of urgent care patients Start and manage IV lines and administer IV medications or fluids as ordered Administer medications, injections, and immunizations Perform clinical procedures such as wound care, splinting, IV placement, and specimen collection Conduct point-of-care testing and assist with diagnostic procedures Provide patient education and discharge instructions Document care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) Support efficient clinic flow and collaborate with the care team What We’re Looking For Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license BLS certification required (ACLS preferred) Experience with IV insertion and IV medication administration required 1+ year nursing experience preferred (urgent care, ER, or outpatient clinic strongly preferred) Strong triage and clinical assessment skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and patient care skills Schedule Per Diem / As Needed Day shifts only – no evenings Occasional weekend coverage may be requested Why Join RCMS Mission-driven organization serving rural communities Supportive, team-oriented work environment Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in community healthcare Redwood Coast Medical Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
