Description
Company Description Looking for something a little different? At Greencross Vets GP + Urgent Care Noosa, we're building a service that bridges the gap between General Practice and Emergency, and we're looking for a full-time or part time veterinarian to join us on that journey. This is an opportunity to be part of a growing service where you'll enjoy interesting cases, make meaningful clinical decisions and help shape the future of Urgent Care on the Sunshine Coast. If you enjoy variety, thrive in a fast-paced environment and like the idea of working up urgent cases without the demands of overnight emergency, we'd love to hear from you. You'll work alongside an experienced nursing team in a purpose-built hospital, seeing a diverse range of presentations while focusing on what matters most—providing timely, high-quality patient care. Shift Times Weekdays: 5:00pm – 11:00pm or 1:00pm – 11:00pm Weekends: 8:00am – 6:00pm What You Can Expect A varied caseload combining General Practice and Urgent Care. Exposure to interesting, unpredictable cases that keep every shift engaging. A strong focus on clinical decision-making, stabilisation and patient advocacy. The opportunity to investigate and treat urgent cases, then refer when ongoing intensive care or specialist management is required. The support of an experienced and capable nursing team who enjoy working collaboratively with their vets. About You We're looking for a veterinarian who: Enjoys both General Practice and Urgent Care. Thrives on a varied caseload, enjoys working through complex medical cases and is confident in surgery. Is confident making clinical decisions and working through medical work-ups. Is comfortable working sole charge with the support of an experienced nursing team. Communicates openly and builds strong relationships with clients and colleagues. Enjoys contributing ideas and being part of a service that continues to grow and evolve. Emergency experience is highly regarded but not essential. We're looking for someone with sound clinical judgement, a positive attitude and a genuine passion for providing excellent patient care. Why Join Noosa? You'll have the opportunity to practise great medicine, continue developing your urgent care skills and genuinely contribute to the growth of a service that's making a real difference to pets and their owners on the Sunshine Coast. This role is ideal for someone looking for a permanent full-time position with variety, autonomy and the opportunity to be part of an exciting and evolving model of veterinary care. The Benefits: Through a mix of internal programs and partnerships with leading providers, you’ll have access to a wide range of development options, including: All-inclusive attendance at the Greencross Connect Conference Professional membership support (AVA or Vet Board registration) Access to leading online resources such as VIN, VetFolio, Plumb’s, VECCS, Wiley, Vetstream and more Practical workshops and wet labs led by specialists across areas such as surgery, ultrasound and emergency procedures Company-wide critical case reviews and collaborative learning opportunities Support for further qualifications, including memberships, with study groups and exam prep Certifications such as RECOVER (CPR) Ongoing webinars and short courses through VetEducation Paid Parental Leave, EAP and discounts at PetBarn for your own pets If you have a specific area of interest, we’re always open to supporting your development and helping you grow in a direction that excites you.
