Is held accountable for following the policies and procedures of the department and organization. Additionally, the position serves as a role model for ethical behavior and promotes an awareness and understanding of positive ethical and moral principles consistent with the Mission, and Behavior Standards of SRMC. Duties & Responsibilities: Patient Care: Diagnose and treat a wide range of urological conditions. Clinical Services: Perform urological procedures and surgeries. Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals. Place order for tests for healthcare staff to administer. Patient Education: Educate patients on urological health, treatment options, and preventive care measures to promote long-term wellness. Record Keeping: Review and interpret test results. Create and recommend treatment plans, maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health records (EHR) software. Community Engagement: Participate in community health initiatives and education, fostering relationships with local residents to enhance patient awareness and access to care. Continuing Education: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in urology, including new procedures, technologies, and treatment protocols. Rotational Call: Required. Potential to provide APP oversight and respond timely to their needs. Requirements Education, Experience, & Licensure Board certified Urologist from an accredited medical school. Current, or must be able to obtain, M.D. licensure in the State of Nebraska. Certification in BLS and ACLS required; SRMC will help obtain. Current, or must be able to obtain, State and DEA Licenses.
