Description

Sidwell Friends School seeks an experienced professional to serve as a part-time Upper School Accommodations Coordinator in partnership with the Academic Support and Counseling Teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Review new evaluations; write Instructional Notes; meet with student and parents to formalize plan; communicate updates with academic teachers;
  • Coordinate documentation and submit accommodations requests for standardized testing;
  • Coordinate evaluations with SFS Consulting Psychologist; gather school records and teacher feedback forms, coordinate testing dates and communication, review report, write Instructional Notes, and host interpretive parent and student meetings with Consulting Psychologist
  • Support with standardized testing proctoring on weekends, as available
  • 10 hours per week

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in special education and/or relevant training to identify appropriate academic supports for students with learning-based disabilities;
  • Experience reviewing psychoeducational and neuropsychological testing;
  • Experience in a high school environment, preferred
