As the US Diagnostics Lead, you will spearhead the execution of US Commercial Diagnostic initiatives, ensuring rapid diagnosis and effective long-term treatment across our portfolio. Your role will be pivotal in coordinating with internal stakeholders to align on best practices for diagnosis, ultimately improving patient journeys in their respective therapeutic areas. Key Responsibilities: • Identify and implement changes that drive earlier patient diagnosis, quality testing, and reporting. • Seek protocol/algorithm changes resulting in testing/retesting of appropriate patients and diagnostic interventions to reduce the patient journey. • Work to improve system processes for patient diagnosis and increase knowledge of high-quality testing in product pre- and post-approval phases. • Understand diagnostic challenges, best practices for testing, and have a practical perspective on the systems and infrastructure surrounding testing. • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) to internal and external stakeholders, including responding to unsolicited requests for approved information about Alexion diagnostic topics. • Align with key stakeholders to identify relevant patients with rare diseases through thoughtful interaction focused on which test to order, which patients to test, and what the results mean in the context of the diagnostic pathway. • Collaborate with multiple cross-functional areas including sales, marketing, medical, legal, HEOR, market access, strategic accounts, and business ops to drive success. • Identify and work closely with internal teams to develop Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) in diagnostics, creating broad community advocacy through collaboration with KOLs and their network. • Coordinate and communicate the needs of business units with the US Commercial Diagnostics team to ensure all relevant KPI and business objectives are met. • Participate in conferences, roundtables, and professional societies to ensure business intelligence is current and evangelized internally.
