Essential Duties and Responsibilities Teach 3-4 sections of AP Economics Partner with colleagues to create and update course curriculum Assess students’ performance in a timely and consistent manner Within course teams, collaborate with colleagues toward consistency in grading practices Provide 1:1 support to students during office hours, before and after school Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current within the field Additional responsibilities may include sponsoring extra-curricular activities, advising, and/or coaching. Supervisory Responsibilities None QualificationsEducation and Experience: Master’s degree in Business , finance, or a related field is required Experience teaching AP courses in an Independent School is preferred Skill: Experience in and willingness to follow the AP curriculum Patience, enthusiasm, dedication, compassion, and respect for individual students Promotes critical and creative thinking Able to engage and connect with students as individuals Strong collegiality, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as a proven ability to contribute to a high-performing team Proficient in using technology to support education Strong classroom management and organizational skills A strong understanding of and passion for independent education, along with a commitment to the mission of Charlotte Latin School. Working Conditions and Environment Intermittently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds. Long or odd hours, as needed.
Responsibilities
The teacher will instruct 3-4 sections of AP Economics and collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and maintain consistent grading practices. Additionally, they will provide 1:1 student support during office hours and may participate in extra-curricular activities or coaching.
