Description
We are seeking an experienced and process-driven US Human Resources Manager to lead and manage all HR functions for our United States operations. This individual must have hands-on experience working as an HR professional supporting U.S.-based companies and possess strong knowledge of U.S. labor laws, compliance standards, and HR best practices. This is a high-ownership role requiring precision, accountability, and deep familiarity with U.S. HR frameworks. The ideal candidate understands the full HR lifecycle and can independently manage HR processes from onboarding to compliance, employee relations, performance management, and terminations. Key Responsibilities U.S. HR Compliance & Legal ● Ensure full compliance with U.S. federal, state, and local labor laws ● Manage documentation related to FLSA, EEOC, ADA, FMLA, OSHA, and other regulatory frameworks ● Oversee I-9 verification, E-Verify processes, W-4 documentation, and employment eligibility compliance ● Maintain employee records in accordance with U.S. legal standards ● Coordinate with U.S. legal counsel when required Onboarding & Offboarding ● Manage end-to-end onboarding for U.S. W-2 employees and 1099 contractors ● Draft and issue compliant offer letters and employment agreements ● Conduct structured onboarding sessions ● Handle terminations professionally and compliantly, including documentation and final pay requirements Payroll & Benefits Coordination ● Work closely with payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing ● Ensure tax compliance across applicable states ● Manage benefits administration including health insurance, 401(k), and other benefit programs ● Address payroll discrepancies and employee compensation inquiries Performance Management & Policy Enforcement ● Develop and enforce HR policies aligned with U.S. employment standards ● Oversee performance review systems and disciplinary processes ● Implement structured PIPs and documentation protocols ● Drive accountability and ensure policy consistency across teams Employee Relations ● Act as the primary HR point of contact for U.S. employees ● Manage workplace complaints, investigations, and conflict resolution ● Ensure structured documentation of all HR matters ● Foster a professional and compliant workplace environment HR Systems & Process Management ● Maintain and optimize HRIS platforms ● Develop SOPs for all HR functions ● Ensure structured documentation and reporting ● Build scalable HR systems aligned with company growth Required Qualifications ● Minimum 4–7 years of HR experience specifically supporting U.S. companies ● Strong working knowledge of U.S. labour laws and compliance requirements ● Experience handling W-2 employees and 1099 contractors ● Proven experience managing payroll and benefits for U.S. teams ● Experience drafting U.S.-compliant HR documentation and policies ● Highly process-oriented and detail-driven ● Experience with HRIS platforms and payroll systems ● Exposure to multi-state employment compliance
