Description
Handle the end-to-end immigration process for employees, including visa applications and work permits. Prepare and review immigration forms, petitions, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance. Advise clients on immigration processes, timelines, and potential risks. Ensure commercial awareness by efficiently recording time and supporting billing activities. Prepare and submit necessary documentation to government agencies and authorities. Handle unexpected challenges during the immigration process with professionalism and efficiency. Provide regular updates to clients on the status of their immigration cases or changes to immigration rules. Assist with the implementation of relevant technology platforms based on the service line you are working in. Work Schedule: Hybrid (2-4 days in the office) Preferred Degree: Bachelor's degree. Preferred Fields of Study: Law, Immigration Law, Legal Studies, or related fields. Preferred Experience: 1-3 years of experience in immigration law. Knowledge: Strong understanding of Canadian immigration laws, visa applications, and work permits. Certifications (Preferred): Licensed by the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC) or certification as a Paralegal. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate case files. Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle unexpected issues efficiently. Proficiency in immigration case management software and standard office tools. Commercial awareness, including understanding billing processes and managing scope creep. Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, legal teams, and government officials.
