Position Overview We are seeking an Entry-Level Tax Preparer with 1–3 years of hands-on experience preparing U.S. individual income tax returns (Form 1040). The ideal candidate has familiarity with Lacerte Tax Software and QuickBooks Desktop and/or QuickBooks Online, and is ready to further develop their skills in a supportive team environment. This role includes seasonal tax preparation in addition to off-season bookkeeping support. Key Responsibilities Prepare simple to moderately complex individual tax returns (Form 1040) under the review of senior staff and the CPA. Review and organize client tax documents, including W-2s, 1099s, 1098s, brokeragestatements, and organizer responses. Communicate electronically with clients to request missing information and clarify tax-related questions. Input and verify data in Lacerte with a high degree of accuracy. Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks Desktop and/or QuickBooksOnline. Maintain client confidentiality and follow firm procedures and compliance standards. Qualifications 1–3 years of experience preparing U.S. individual income tax returns (Form 1040 required). Experience using Lacerte tax software (preferred). Experience using QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Online (preferred). Experience using Microsoft Office (specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook). Working knowledge of fundamental tax concepts (adjustments, credits, deductions, filing statuses, etc.). Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
