As a Sales & Applications Engineer with Michell Bearings Inc., you will play a key part in expanding our presence across the Americas. Based ideally in Philadelphia, PA, you’ll work closely with both customers and internal teams, acting as a bridge between technical applications and commercial opportunities. This is a hybrid, customer-facing position requiring a strong engineering background and the ability to build lasting relationships within industrial and marine sectors.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a candidate with a degree, or equivalent qualification, in Mechanical Engineering. You should have a strong technical background, with well-developed knowledge of rotating machinery applications in both industrial and marine settings. Your commercial skills will be just as important as your technical abilities; we’re looking for someone with proven sales experience who is adept at negotiating, managing contractual terms, and building direct customer relationships to support business growth.
Given the customer-facing and travel-intensive nature of this position, you will need to be comfortable with frequent travel within North America and occasional visits further afield. Flexibility is important, as there may be a need to work outside standard hours to meet project demands. A current and valid driving license is required for this role.
As this is a remote position away from our company headquarters, a high level of computer literacy is essential. You should be confident in using both proprietary engineering software and general business applications, enabling you to work independently and efficiently.
Due to the requirement for regular access to US Naval and Government facilities, you must be a US citizen. Candidates with active or prior US government classified security clearance will be at an advantage. Additionally, any experience or knowledge of export licensing controls would be beneficial.
