MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Master’s Degree in (UX) Design, Interaction Design, Human Factors Engineering, Human-Technology Interaction, Cognitive Science, Industrial Design Engineering or equivalent.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 2 years of experience with Master’s in areas such as User Experience (UX) Design, Information Architecture, Usability Testing or equivalent.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • PhD with focus on Human-Computer Interaction and Usability
  • 2-5 years’ experience as a Usability Engineer
  • Proven knowledge of Human factors and interaction design, Usability methodologies, processes, and standards
  • Knowledge of the healthcare domain is a plus
  • Excellent communication & collaboration skills
  • Project and stakeholder management skills
Responsibilities
  • Delivering the Usability requirements & Usability evidence throughout the product creation and post market process, ensuring the product release meets regulatory, customer- & business needs.
  • Perform workflow analysis and user research to understand the context of use, elicit user needs and usability requirements.
  • Define usability engineering plans and organize usability activities in co-operation with business partners (e.g. project managers, clinical marketing).
  • Conduct user testing and expert reviews (e.g. cognitive walkthroughs) for the evaluation of Philips IGT-S products (Image Guided Therapy Systems) using established usability engineering practices.
  • Advise on the usability aspect of design changes with the design team.
  • Ensure that usability engineering is applied according to international standards (such as IEC 62366, FDA Guidance on Human factors)
  • Ensure good co-operation with other subject areas within the department and IGT organization, with Philips Design, and with similar fields in the other Philips Healthcare business units.
