Description
SAIC is seeking a United States Air Force (USAF) Readiness subject matter expert to join our team at the Pentagon. This position will sit onsite at the Pentagon. Job Responsibilities: Research and support readiness requests for information (RFIs) and data requests from Congress, USAF Senior Leaders, Functional Area Managers (FAMs), Major Commands (MAJCOMs) and their Command Readiness Office (CRO). Coordinate and support the execution of readiness reporting initiatives in DRRS across the Air Force (AF), ensuring mission data is accurate, aligned, and actionable. Assist with the Quarterly Chief of Staff of the Air Force (CSAF) Readiness Review, Semi-annual Readiness Report to Congress (SRRC) and the Joint Force Readiness Review (JFRR). Conduct readiness audits, ensure compliance with reporting requirements and timelines, report findings and make recommendations to HAF/A33R leadership based on policy and trends. Additionally, maintain the Management Internal Control Toolset (MICT) Force Readiness Reporting Self-Assessment Checklists (SACs) to provide wing and measured unit level support/guidance/compliance. Prepare executive level correspondence, white papers, review and provide content and comments on AF policy (e.g., doctrine, instructions, supplements) capability reporting. Maintain, publish and coordinate for approval of Mission Essential Task (MET) and MET List (METL). One of two personnel that can manage AF METs in DRRS (IAW AFI 10-201 para 2.1.4). Approve, publish, and maintain Mission Essential Tasks (METs)/Mission Essential Task Lists (METLs) and the AF Universal Task List (AFUTL) to include coordinating additions, deletions, and changes to tasks and periodic reviews with HAF and Functional Area Managers. Primary point of contact for AF coordination on Joint Staff (JS) Universal Joint Task List (UJTL) tasks changes. Serve as administrators for HAF DRRS, including table management for personnel, training, and equipment, and other unit management information. This also includes continuous review and maintenance all AF ADS mapping requirements for various training and equipment files. Provide training (in person/virtual) to DRRS users at all levels of DRRS (HAF, MAJCOMs, Wings, and units. Assist with training development and building a training program effort. Assist DRRS users with system access, troubleshoot user issues and data inquiries to ensure timely, policy-compliant reporting. Primarily requires understanding of DRRS authoritative data sources (ADSs), how they populate DRRS and are utilized in unit reporting. Prepares DRRS trouble tickets in coordination with the development team and HAF/A3TR leadership for submission to the DRRS implementation office (DIO). Work with DRRS development team to provide input on system requirements, user acceptance testing, and to create/develop Business Intelligence (BI) queries utilizing Cognos, in support of customer requirements. Troubleshoot reported issues within DRRS to include, software updates, AF-Input Tool (AF-IT) addressing issues with system, authoritative data sources (ADSs), or training gaps in field from a User/SME perspective (not software/developer access). Required Education: Bachelors and fifteen (15) years or more related experience; Masters and thirteen (13) years or more experience; PhD or JD and ten (10) years or more experience; four (4) years or more experience considered in lieu of degree. Qualifications: Military Background with 10+ years of experience working in the Department of War/Defense. Senior-level Staff Experience. Military DRRS training background (e.g., Train the Trainer and unit training). Any Readiness Background (e.g., Unit Deployment Manager, DCAPES experience, DRRS experience, Global Force Management (GFM), Contingency Wartime Planning Course (CWPC), Plans (XP)). Prior Air Force background preferred. In-depth DRRS MAJCOM/Wing/Unit experience preferred. Agile Combat Support (ACS) experience (Civil Engineering, Communications/Cyber, Force Support, Logistics Readiness, Security Forces) preferred. Clearance: Candidate must have an active Secret clearance.
