Description Grey Street Consulting, LLC (Grey Street), a leading small business provider of operational support services to Federal civilian and defense agencies, is seeking to hire a Retirement Processing to support our prospective client within the Department of Agriculture, Office of the Chief Financial Officer, National Finance Center (NFC), Government Employees Services Division (GESD). This position is to be performed onsite in New Orleans, LA. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Process Annuity Retirement Cases. Review, process and file Annuity Retirement Record. Triage/Proofread Mail for Annuity Retirement Cases. Enter Case in RETM and Cancel SN Ticket for incomplete packages. Processing Non-Annuity Retirement Cases. Review and reconcile Non-annuity Retirement Cases. Processing Completed Cases submitted to OPM. Review and proof-read the case, match it to a register, box the package for mailing. Sort, Match, and Distribute Bi-weekly Retirement Output. Review, sort, match and distribute cards per pay period. Processing FERCCA Cases. Most complicated cases, manual calculations required, calculating prior submissions of retirement deductions and submitting corrected data to be submitted to OPM, to include correcting the retirement deductions. Processing RCC Cases. Manual calculation and correction of the retirement deductions are needed to ensure deductions are equal to the percentage of the calendar year deductions effected. Some cases will require excess deductions. Packaging Outgoing Mail. Verify data on all cases match IRR matches data on Register of Separations. Prepare hardcopy MSD package for shipment to OPM. Requirements Job Requirements and Experience Experience working in an office environment processing large volumes of complex transactions/documents in an accurate and timely manner. Excellent analytical skills, communication skills, and excellent mathematical skills for quickly verifying the accuracy of reported data. Skilled in Microsoft WORD and EXCEL. Skilled in the use of office equipment, including but not limited to ten-key calculator, copy machine, fax machine. Ability to interpret and apply federal retirement regulations. Experience working in a team environment to achieve results and ensure customer satisfaction is delivered. ADA Requirements Operate a PC and phone in an office environment. Work in a primarily sedentary position. Perform some bending, light lifting, and carrying of equipment may be required. Any additional office equipment that is required by the position.
