Description

Carlock Automotive is seeking an experienced used car acquisitions expert to source used vehicle inventory for 20 Rooftops across 4 states. This
Individual will work closely with the Director of Used car Operations, the Executive Management team and the General Managers to strategize, acquire and
sell used car inventory. Carlock Automotive continues to grow and this role is essential to the ongoing commitment to our team and our guests to provide the
best selection of vehicles in combination with the best car buying experience.

REQUIREMENTS:



    • Previous experience as a large volume Used Car Buyer or in automotive purchasing/appraising required.



      • Strong knowledge of vehicle makes, models, market values, and industry trends.



        • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.



          • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.



            • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

            • Familiarity with auction platforms like Manheim and ACV is required.

            • Remote work may be permitted based on candidate experience.

            Responsibilities


              • Proactively source and purchase high-quality used vehicles for our inventory through auctions, private sellers and other sources as assigned.



                • Place acquired inventory at appropriate locations based on maximized profitability and turn.



                  • Perform accurate vehicle assessments and market values based on current demand, condition, and reconditioning costs.



                    • Maintain strong relationships with auction reps, wholesalers, and other industry contacts.



                      • Monitor market trends to make informed purchasing decisions that support inventory turn and profitability goals.



                        • Coordinate with the director of used cars, reconditioning, and sales teams to ensure inventory readiness.

                        • Maintain detailed purchase records and inventory logs.
