REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience of working in a user centred design team in a consultancy, agency or in-house setting.
  • Skills in one or more UCD disciplines preferably service design or interaction design.
  • Knowledge of user centred design principles, best practice and artefacts e.g prototypes, journey maps, personas
  • Experience working with teams and/or clients to embed user centred design practices
  • Ability to adapt and identify appropriate UCD processes and methods to a variety of environments
  • Ability to empathise with different types of users and build a clear understanding of their perspectives
  • Ability to take an innovative and creative approach to problem solving
  • Awareness of software development lifecycle and ability to apply UCD methods in a technology focussed environment
  • A degree qualification, or equivalent experience in a related discipline
  • Excellent communication skills, to work with colleagues and senior client stakeholders – understanding how best to position findings to communicate with different levels of seniority and experience
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines within a fast-paced and agile environment
  • Excellent work planning capabilities and time management skills
  • Ability to balance conflicting deadlines and priorities
  • A high attention to detail
  • Punctuality, reliability, and a clear commitment to your role
