We support a client base spanning the public and private sector, and we strive for excellence both in our design work and in the service to our clients.
We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and articulate UX/UI Designer to help evolve our partners’ current products and to conceive and iterate on upcoming products. This position will involve working closely with other designers, developers, and staff, and will have a direct impact on our company’s growth.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • U.S. Citizen
  • Ability to obtain a favorable fitness determination for a Federal Public Trust Clearance
  • 5+ years’ experience
  • A portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions with strong visuals and interactions for mobile apps and responsive websites.
  • Ability to present UX/UI designs and rationale to project team members.
  • Demonstrated skills creating process flows, sitemaps, wireframes, prototypes and other UX deliverables within the constraints of established style guides.
  • Knowledge of responsive design considerations.
  • Expert knowledge of user interface design, information design, usability principles, visual and web design.
  • Partner closely with developers, QA, and business analysts to rapidly iterate designs based on user feedback, technological constraints, and market dynamics.
  • Design visually appealing decks in Microsoft PowerPoint: Utilize your design expertise to create visually engaging slides that align with our brand guidelines and enhance the overall storytelling of the marketing message.
  • Review and proofread the presentations and designs thoroughly to ensure accuracy, consistency, and high-quality design. Pay attention to details such as alignment, spacing, grammar, and spelling errors.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Understanding of user-centered design based on HCI, visual, or other design foundations and principles.
  • Experience working as part of an Agile/SCRUM development team creating high usage digital products.
  • Certification or training in Section 508 accessibility standards and testing (eg. DHS Trusted Tester Certification)

Responsibilities
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews, user requirements analysis, task analysis, conceptual modeling, information architecture, interaction design, and usability testing.
  • Design and specify user interfaces and information architecture.
  • Lead participatory and iterative design activities, including observational studies, customer interviews, usability testing, and other forms of requirement discovery.
  • Produce user requirements specifications & experience goals, personas, storyboards, scenarios, flowcharts, design prototypes, and design specifications.
  • Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale and goals both verbally and visually.
  • Plan and facilitate collaborative critiques and analysis & synthesis working sessions.
  • Work closely with visual designers and development teams to ensure that customer goals are met and design specifications are delivered upon.
  • Design and develops primarily internet/web pages and applications.
  • Develop proof-of-concepts and prototypes of easy-to-navigate user interfaces (UIs) that consists of web pages with graphics, icons, and color schemes that are visually appealing.
  • Research user needs as well as potential system enhancements.
  • Has familiarity with, or may actually: code, test, debug documents, and implement web applications using a variety of platforms.
