Description U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Commanding General requires a Foreign and Domestic Travel Specialist. This position will provide the CG’s office with Foreign and Domestic Travel Specialist support. The Travel Specialist will coordinate travel to many different locations both Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside Continental United States (OCONUS). The primary task is to manage, plan, coordinate, and integrate arrangements required for official travel by the Commander, U.S. Special Operations Command (CDRUSSOCOM) and his team which may include but is not limited to: The Commander (CDR), his Personal Security Detail (PSD), the Commander Action Group (CAG), Executive Officer (XO), Aide de Camp (ADC), Enlisted Aid (EA), Communication Team (J6), Counter-Intelligence Team (J2), Political Advisor (POLAD), and Spouse. Key Responsibilities Coordinates multi-dimensional effort to develop detailed planning, and real-time execution of the foreign and domestic travel program for the CDRUSSOCOM. Trip preparations, itinerary development (to include separate spouse itinerary if required), travel (including airlift management), ground transportation, lodging, security arrangements, protocol, and foreign clearance requirements. Manage personal data for the Commander and all members of his travel team, track requirements listed in the Foreign Clearance Guide (FCG) to include but not limited to travel deployment training, vaccination, and all currency qualifications.. Submit and track Aircraft and Personnel Automated Clearance System (APACS) requests for CG’s travel team. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in travel planning and coordination for General Officers/Flag Officers (GO/FO), including expertise in Domestic and International Travel procedures/regulations pertaining to the Department of Defense. Comprehensive knowledge of foreign clearance guidance to effectively coordinate, process, and manage international travel requirements. Proven experience in scheduling MILAIR, arranging group lodging, ground transportation, security arrangements, and coordinating travel with Embassies, host nation country teams, and various governmental agencies and external stakeholders. Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively. Demonstrated ability to prepare detailed comprehensive itineraries for senior-level leadership, including the creation and delivery of briefings tailored to executive needs. Advanced knowledge of the Defense Travel System (DTS) for creating travel orders, vouchers, and resolving administrative deficiencies caused by travel changes or interruptions. Active Top Secret – Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance required
