What can you expect?
The Utilities Operator works to achieve well-maintained, uninterrupted, safe, and efficient utilities services for all Resort users and areas. The Operator supports and holds responsibilities for domestic water and wastewater treatment, along with administering propane, gasoline and diesel supply and distribution, and aspects of facilities and equipment. The Utilities Operator reports to the Utilities Supervisor or designate, liaising frequently with Maintenance, and all Resort departments.

The primary responsibility of this role is constant monitoring and maintenance of all utility systems and ensuring the department provides a high quality, prompt, and efficient system while always maintaining and contributing to a safe and efficient work site e.g., inspections, monitoring, disassembly, assembly, troubleshooting, cleaning of equipment and worksites, bulk supply orders.

Responsibilities
  • Completing documentation e.g., daily checks, assigned logs, daily reports, maintenance logs, inventory counts, worksite inspections, safe work plans.
  • Communicating unusual operating conditions e.g., mechanical, operational, environmental.
  • Effectively communicate, support, and adhere to all initiatives, policy/procedures, regulations, and certifications e.g., OHS, Environmental Protection Services, National Parks Act and Regulations, manufacturer requirements, regulatory guidance.
  • Timely and accurate incident and deficiencies reporting to appropriate departments/personnel.
    Other duties may be requested and assigned from time to time.
