We’re looking for a Utilities Administrator supporting the supplier accounting function for a portfolio of properties on behalf of one of PREIM’s key clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, solving problems, building strong working relationships and delivering accurate work to tight deadlines. You’ll work closely with both the client team and external utility suppliers, playing an important role in ensuring the smooth administration of utility accounts for void properties. What you’ll be doing In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring company policies and procedures are applied consistently and to a high standard, with a strong focus on accuracy and timely delivery. Your responsibilities will include: Managing the utilities process for a portfolio of void properties Receiving and scanning purchase invoices and statements from utility suppliers and councils Recording and allocating purchase invoices, ensuring: correct billing addresses accurate start and end dates meter readings are checked billing is accurate Contacting utility suppliers and councils to investigate and resolve billing queries Ensuring all invoice queries are investigated, or actively under investigation, within the month Closing completed properties promptly and settling final bills with all suppliers Preparing fortnightly payment runs for review by the Head of Support Services Producing creditors reports for client review Raising BACS files and bank movement reports Supporting the accounts team and other departments with day-to-day and ad hoc tasks Liaising with the key client to ensure urgent matters are handled efficiently What we’re looking for Qualifications and experience Experience in service charge client accounting would be an advantage, but is not essential Experience with Qube and/or Citrix is desirable, but not essential Skills Excellent time management, prioritisation and diary management skills Strong team-working ability, with an approachable and helpful attitude Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel Behaviours We’re looking for someone who is: Thorough – you have excellent attention to detail and think beyond the checklist Accountable – you take ownership and see tasks through to completion Committed – you take pride in your work and care about team performance Mature – you bring a practical, common-sense approach and spot opportunities for improvement Positive – you have a can-do attitude and contribute positively to team morale Why Work with Us?: Great Team Environment: You’ll be part of a friendly, supportive team that works hard and has fun along the way.
