Join our growing team as a Utilities Superintendent, where you be in a leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of utility installation projects on multiple construction sites, including managing crews, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, coordinating with other divisions within Landmark Construction, and guaranteeing timely completion of projects related to water, sewer, and storm water drainage, while adhering to project plans and budgets. In this role, you will:

  • Ensure the job site remains safe, clean, and orderly.
  • Oversee the daily operations of utility construction crews on assigned projects.
  • Manage budgets and timelines and track daily labor and material costs
  • Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures.
  • Coordinate with other construction trades to ensure smooth project flow.
  • Assign tasks to crew members based on their skills and experience.
  • Train and mentor field personnel on proper safety procedures and construction techniques.
  • Address performance issues and maintain a high level of productivity within the crews assigned.
  • Locate, measure, and mark site locations or placement of structures or equipment, using measuring and marking equipment.
  • Communicate updates and impacts to the General Superintendent and Project Manager.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Utility Superintendent or in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple crews
  • Ability to work independently under pressure to meet internal and client project deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Professionalism in conducting interactions with customers, office staff, and crew.
  • Strong analytical ability, quantitative and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication/interpersonal skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Work involves sitting, walking or standing for extended periods of time in various adverse weather conditions
  • Must be able to repeatedly lift and/or carry weights of five to fifty pounds
  • Requires the ability of speaking and/or signaling people to convey or exchange information
  • Must have minimal levels of eye/hand/foot coordination
  • Numerical Aptitude- This position requires the ability to utilize mathematical formulas; adding and subtracting totals; multiplying and dividing.
  • Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment, safety glasses, hard hat with chin strap, reflective safety vest, gloves, ear protection, face shield, safety toe boots

    Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
